Market your blog - Effective ideas
1) Use the power of social Media:
Social media platforms like facebook, twitter, google+ ,linkedin effectively gathered the society into internet. So our plan is to make use of that already gathered resource !! Marketing a product in heavy crowded area is much better than gathering the crowd and then marketing. When sharing, ensure that you're
adding some sort of call to action or motivation to encourage the reader
to click through, rather than just pasting in a link. Ask yourself,
"Would I be interested or intrigued by this?" If the answer is no, go
back to the drawing board and assess the value of your post.
Indeed, it’s important to look good to readers who follow you. It’s
just as important to look good to search engine spiders. Conduct keyword
research using tools like Google’s keyword generator
that provides keywords used by actual Google users over the past 30
days. Place those keywords in headlines, sub heads and a few of them in
your blog posts. If you don’t know much about SEO, grab yourself a cup of coffee & start reading the comprehensive list of search engine ranking factor provided by Seomoz.
3) Make use of social widgets:
After creating a blog post and
exhausting seemingly all of our promotional resources, we often forget
that our audience is one of the most invaluable mediums for spreading
content. Including social sharing buttons on your blog is not just a
signifier of your internet savviness, it's a clear call to action which
allows readers to share your post with their social networks. Even if
only 5 people share your post with their followers, and they only have
100 followers each, you've still just grown your reach to become visible
to 500 new people!
4)Mingle with other bloggers:
Your competitors are not your enemies :) !! spending time interacting on other sites can be a great way to drive traffic back to your own. Sharing is the best way to learn new things. Exchanging two coins remains the same amount. But If you exchange ideas, it will get multipled . Make a real effort to join in
discussions and lend opinions or insights to other industry-relevant
blogs, and include a link back to something related you've posted on the
matter.
5) Don't be 100% Copy:
Most of us blog the things which we learnt from other blogs/site. But writing the same content as it is will never highlight your blog. Learning from other sites is ok!! But we need to research the thing we got and to reproduce in a different way may be your own style. This will make unique identity for your way of blogging.
